Beauty Streams is building two distinct communication experiences into its application.

In private conversations, participants can see who they are communicating with. In a Circle, Beauty Streams wanted the person managing the community to have visibility into its members while limiting that visibility for regular participants.

Building community chat with controlled visibility
Beauty Streams needed more than a standard group chat.
For its Circle experience, the platform wanted to control who could see the member list. The Circle administrator should be able to see and manage all participants, while regular participants should not automatically see everyone else in the group.
CometChat's group permissions give Beauty Streams control over member-list visibility and administrative actions. This lets the platform distinguish between administrators and regular participants without having to build the underlying group management infrastructure itself.
The messaging experience also continues to identify who sent each message. This keeps conversations accountable while allowing Beauty Streams to limit access to the broader participant list.
Supporting a global audience with translation
Because Beauty Streams operates globally, translation was another important requirement.
With CometChat, users can translate messages from within the conversation. A message can be written in one language and translated by the recipient into their preferred browser or device language.
