Transcription and live closed captions for voice and video calling are now available across all five CometChat Calls SDK platforms: Android, iOS, JavaScript, React Native, and Flutter.

Key Features and Capabilities
Programmatic start and stop
Use startTranscription() and stopTranscription() to control transcription directly from your application logic, without relying on in-call UI controls.
Auto-start transcription
Configure transcription to start automatically when a call session begins, without requiring users to enable it manually.
Live closed captions
Display captions during the call, allowing participants to follow the conversation in real time.
Control panel visibility
Choose whether transcription and caption controls appear in your in-call UI based on the experience you want to provide.
Transcript retrieval from call logs
Once a call ends, retrieve the completed transcript through call logs without setting up a separate transcript storage workflow.
How the Integration Works
Transcription and caption controls are out of box and can be enabled by the user.

Check your current Calls SDK version before implementing the feature. Transcription and Closed Captions are not available in versions below these thresholds.
