Creating a Facebook Fan Page

To create a page, point your browser to http://www.facebook.com/pages/create.php

CometChat does not allow use of Facebook Groups. You must create a Facebook Fan Page.

Configuring the module

On creation of a Facebook Fan Page, you will need to find your Facebook Fan Page ID.

Click on the Edit Page link on your Facebook Fan Page and pay attention to the browser URL.

In the above example, the Facebook Page ID is 106148049425133

Once you have located your Page ID, go to CometChat Administration Panel -> Modules -> Facebook Fan Page -> config

Enter your Page ID in the Facebook Fan Page ID and empty the Facebook Fan Page Name box. Finally click on the Update Settings button.
